Norman Paul Broussard

January 5, 1935 — January 20, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Norman Paul Broussard, 74, who died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon Paul Roy Eleazar officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Ella Mae Broussard of Kaplan; one son, Norman P. "Bruce" Broussard II of Lafayette; one stepson, John Wayne Akin of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; two daughters, Tammi Mata of Houston, Texas and Valerie and her husband Stuart Kesseler of Houston, Texas; five stepdaughters, Stephanie Akin of Kaplan, Carolyn Suire of Erath, Naomie Gaspard of Kaplan, Barbara Guidry of Kaplan, and Dena Romero of Kaplan; two brothers, Herbert Broussard of Midland and Reese Broussard of Abbeville; three sisters, Hazel Touchette of Crowley, Charlene Abshire of Colorado, and JoEllen Stump of Cleveland, Texas; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and seven step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Pam Broussard; his parents, Joseph B. Broussard and the former Elia Louvier; and several brothers and sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 9 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
