Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Laura Mae Fontenot, 70, who died Friday, January 23, 2009 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Doris Fontenot of Cow Island; one son, David Wayne Fontenot of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Chloe Fontenot of Lafayette; four brothers, Wilmer Hebert of Lafayette, Purvis Hebert of Abbeville, Raywood Hebert of New Iberia, and Jake Hebert of Cow Island; and one sister, JoAnn Hebert of Cow Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Severin Hebert and the former Amy Campbell.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m., Sunday, from 8 a.m. until services.
