Lelia Breaux Duhon

February 24, 1912 — January 27, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Lelia Breaux Duhon, 96, who died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by one daughter, Audrey Luquette of Kaplan; one stepdaughter Stella Trahan of Lafayette; two sons, Alfred Duhon Jr. of Ville Platte and John Linic Duhon of Maurepas; one stepson, Norris Monique of St. Martinville; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Duhon, Sr.; brothers; Eves and Whitney Breaux; and sisters, Lydia Meaux and Edia Vidalier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Thursday, January 29, from 8 a.m. until services.
