Myrtis Landry Menard

August 9, 1926 — January 28, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Myrtis Landry Menard, 82, who died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald James Menard and his wife Glenda of Kaplan, and Rickey Paul Menard, also of Kaplan; three grandchildren, Heather M. Bradley and her husband, Kelly of Kaplan, Hank Lucas Menard and his fiancee, Ashley Cormier of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and their mother, Vicki Simon Foreman of Kaplan; and Dawn Nichole Menard of Maurice; three great grandchildren, Sumner Jules, Roman Bradley and Kennedy Marie Menard; and one brother, Paul Huey Landry and his wife Beverly of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius J. Menard; her parents, Emery and Armelise Landry; and two brothers, Rixie and George Thomas Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, January 31, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
