Dickie Dale Roy

December 28, 1961 — January 30, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2009 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Dickie Dale Roy, 47, who died Friday, January 30, 2009 due to the result of an automobile accident. He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Marella Roy of Forked Island; two sons, Scotty Roy and his wife Naomi of Kaplan and Hunter Roy of Forked Island; two daughters, Tara and her husband Al LeBlanc of Lafayette and Bailey Roy of Forked Island; two grandchildren, Victoria and Cainen Roy; his parents, Percy Roy Jr. of Sulphur and Ruby Langlinais of Cow Island; two brothers, Keith Roy of Texarkana, TX and Steve Roy of Abbeville; and one sister, Kathy Campbell of Forked Island.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Roy Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Delafosse.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Monday, February 2, from 8 a.m. until services.
