Dorothy Ann Touchet Marceaux

November 5, 1935 — February 1, 2009

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Dorothy Ann Touchet Marceaux, 73, who died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Donald Pousson officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers were Bobby Marceaux, Hampton Marceaux, Rodney Duprie, Rodney Duprie II, Jessie Duprie, and Brandon Badon. Honorary pallbearer was Kiah Porter.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Marceaux and his wife Roxana and Hampton Marceaux and his wife Deanna, all of Gueydan; two daughters, Martha Duprie and her husband Rodney and Judy Badon, of Gueydan; one brother, Alan Touchet and his wife Barbara of Gueydan; six grandchildren, Dotty, Rodney II, Jessie, Holly, Brandon, and Candace; and five great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kendra, Emily, Ryleigh, and Layne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Marceaux; her parents, Hampton and Mable Touchet; both sisters, Annie Lunsford and Merdie Simon; and one brother, Lernis Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Monday, February 2, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, February 3, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
