Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Jim Russell Bazar, 46, who died Friday, July 10, 2015 at Abbeville General Hospital.He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Manny Fernandez officiating the services.

Jim was passionate about watching his sons play sports, especially baseball. He enjoyed watching his daughter's dance recitals. Jim also enjoyed cooking, playing golf, hunting and watching the LSU Tigers.

He is survived by his wife, Nichole "Nikki" Hebert Bazar; two sons, John Russell "Jr" and Michael William "Mikie" Bazar; daughter, Erin Elise Bazar; mother, Carolyn Hebert Bazar; brother, Patrick "Pat" Bazar; brother-in-law, Neal Hebert; mother-in-law, Tina Hebert; father-in-law, Bobby Joe Hebert; and his neice, Madison Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Franz Bazar and his brother, Mark William Bazar.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, July 12, 2015 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, July 13, 2015 from 8 a.m. until services.
