Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Annie Menard Hebert, 85, who died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Victor Cormier, Randy Broussard, Shane Guidry, Rusty Guidry, Chip Duhon, and Hunter Guidry.
Annie lived all her married life in Forked Island passed away at her home with her family at her side.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Isaac Hebert of Forked Island; three daughters, Sherry and her husband, Gerard Jeffery Guidry of Cow Island, Melissa and her husband, Jean Duhon of Abbeville, Cynthia and her husband, Jimmie Cormier of Houston, Texas; one sister, Maudrey Menard of Kaplan; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Polenare Menard and the former Bernadette Schexnider; three brothers, Dennis Menard Sr., San and Edward Menard; four sisters, Mazie Guidry, Mable Scherer, Mae Dora Guidry, Laura Dubois; her in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Eraste Hebert Sr. and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed cleaning, cooking and sewing. Her favorite thing was to cook Sunday dinner for her family.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 9 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 a.m.
