Kaplan—Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Louis Ewell Guidry, 80, who died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Rev. Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by four sons, Ronald Guidry and his wife Edna of Forked Island, Wesley Guidry of Kaplan, Wendell Guidry and his wife Sheila of Maurice and Paul Guidry of Meaux; two daughters, Marlene and her husband Bill Wainner of Leslie, Arkansas and Patrice Luquette of Abbeville; his companion, Elaine Dore of Kaplan; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine V. Guidry; his granddaughter, Gabriel Guidry; his parents, Alexon Guidry and the former Thelda Touchet; his sister, Willa Mae Guidry; and several half brothers and sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 5 p.m until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 25, from 8 a.m. until services.
