She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jeff C. Smith of New Iberia; two sons, Eddie C. Duplantis and his wife, Linda of Lake Charles and Mark D. Duplantis and his wife, Shawn of New Iberia; two daughters, Barbara G. Stansbury and her husband, Gerald of Jeanerette and Sherry L. Louviere and her fiance, Ron Webster of Lafayette; one sister, Mae Rose Matte and her husband, L.G. of Kaplan; one brother, Edwin Dubois of New Iberia; seven grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford J. "Chief" Duplantis Sr.; one son, Clifford J. Duplantis Jr.; one sister, Adea Suire; five brothers, Minos, Dominick, Ernest, Evis, and Armand "Red" Dubois; one grandson, Jack Daniels Louviere; and her parents, Marsule Dubois and the former Enita Vidiallet.
The family would like to give their sincerest and deepest heartfelt thanks and gratitude to New Iberia Manor North and Bridgeway Hospice for the compassionate care given to them to have these last few months together and feeling like home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, July 27, 2015 from from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 8 a.m. until the services.
