Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Horace Joseph Hargrave, 85, who died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery.

He is survived by his three sons, Wayne "T-Black" Hargrave and his wife, Donella of Nunez, Michael Hargrave of Mamou, and Horace Hargrave Jr. and his wife, Rhonda of Lafayette; three daughters, Ginger Hargrave of Lake Arthur, Sherry and her husband, Glenn McDaniel of Kaplan, and Sheila and her husband, Alan LaFevers of Kaplan; one sister, Avita H. Richard of Sulphur; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velta Broussard Hargrave; two sons, Ronnie Hargrave and Brigg Hargrave; one grandchild, Jamie Hebert; and his parents, Edian Hargrave and the former Odia Gaspard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 8 a.m. until services.
