Mary Lena Foster Spell
December 19, 1925 — August 18, 2015
Reverend John Vining will be officiating the service. She will be laid to rest at Pool Cemetery- Montgomery, TX.
She is survived by her son, Carrol L. Spell, Jr. and his wife, Beverly of Milton; daughter, Laura Blum and her husband, Ray Owen Blum of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Mary Hebert, Ray Meade, Jennifer Reed, Joseph Spell, and Benjamin Spell; eight great grandchildren, Ashley Hebert, Emily Meade, Matthew Meade, Jacob Meade, Carter Meade, Emma-Kate Reed, Elizabeth Katherine Reed, and Joseph Foster Spell.
Mary was the youngest of eleven siblings and is survived by her brother, Hiram Foster of Pasadena, TX; and her sister, Marcelle Pitman of Spring, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Foster and the former Gatsey Sims.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Abbeville United Methodist Women to help further their misson work. Donations can be sent in care of Abbeville United Methodist Church, 213 N. State Street, Abbeville, LA.
