Ella Mae Vincent Richard

December 11, 1914 — February 12, 2009

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Ella Mae Vincent Richard, 94, who died Thursday, February 12, 2009.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Rev. Louis Richard officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Ray Allen Richard of Sulphur; one sister, Audrey Vincent of Sulphur; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ovide Richard, Sr.; parents, Oleus Vincent and the former Alice Gary; one son, Ovide B. Richard, Jr.; four brothers, Horace Vincent, Willis Vincent, Ewell Vincent and Wilson Vincent; one sister, Inez V. Karris; and an infant grandchild.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ella Mae Vincent Richard's name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503-3240 or to any other Catholic charities.
