Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, August 28, 2015 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. David Chapel honoring the life of Loris T. Broussard, 93, who died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Hebert Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Kendall, Lucus, Troy, and Ravis Broussard, Tommy Byler, and Ad Himel. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Broussard, Britt Byler, and Landon Faulk.

She is survived by her two sons, Ray Broussard and his companion, Mary Ellen Duhon and Jimmy Broussard and his wife, Sue, both of Kaplan; one daughter-in-law, Jaenell Broussard of Kaplan; one son-in-law, Jacob Byler of Lafayette; nine grandchildren, Kendall, Rowena, Lucus, Troy, Ravis, and Raina Broussard, Tommy and Tracy Byler, and Darlene Faulk; nine great grandchildren, Amber Doucet, Tanner, Carlie, and Cali Broussard, Paige Alleman, Grace, Britt, and Lily Byler, and Landon Faulk; one great-great grandson, Zane Mire; and a special niece, Lou Ann Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Touchet and the former Ophelia Dartez; her husband, Newton Broussard; one son, Lifton Broussard; her daughter, Betty Byler; one infant daughter; one sister, Nora Broussard; two brothers, Wilfred and Emmanuel Touchet, Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Ancy Broussard; and one granddaughter, Darlene Kay Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, August 28, 2015 from 8 a.m. until services.
