Audrey Ives Daniels

June 5, 1915 — February 14, 2009

Valentines Day marked the passing of our beloved mother Audrey Ives Daniels after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimers disease. She is now at peace with her loved ones. Audrey was born June 5, 1915 in South Creek N.C. She is preceded in death by her father, Josiah Ives and mother, Effie Elizabeth Hopkins; husband James Alfred Daniels; daughter, Nelda Hazel; son, James Larry Daniels; sisters, Ruby Wells Lupton and Sarah Leary and brothers, Ulmont Ives, Elting Ives and Joe Robert Ives.
She leaves behind her daughters, Verona St Louis of Abbeville, Maggie Cauthen and husband Mickey of Cumming, GA, Ava Pepper and husband Bobby of Chatham, La; daughter-in-law, Madeline Smith Daniels of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Madeline Hussy and husband Doug of High Point, NC, and Julia Ives of Washington, D.C.; special nephew John Wells and wife Eileen of Denton, MD; and twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until time of graveside services at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Robert Wells conducting services.
In lieu of flowers family asked that donations be made to AAA Hospice of New Iberia, 2111 Highway 14, New Iberia, LA.
