Aline Cashaw Trahan

April 28, 1920 — February 18, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home -Kaplan honoring the life of Aline Cashaw Trahan, 88, who died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott, Carl, Carl II, and Josh Trahan, Jeremy Jameyson, and Ravis Sonnier. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be William “Bill” Parham.

She is survived by a daughter, Marlene and her husband Todd Dronet of Kaplan; grandchildren, Scott Trahan and his daughter Ivy Rae Trahan of Dallas, Texas, Carl Trahan and his wife Tina and their children Josh, Carl II, Sage and Payton Trahan of Erath, Monique and her husband Jeremy Jameyson and their daughter Jozie Jameyson of Kaplan; two sisters, Rena C. LeJeune of Gueydan and Mae Rose C. Bertrand of Sulphur.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ivy Trahan Sr.; two sons, Lurcy Trahan and Ivy Trahan Jr.; brothers, Homer, Lodis, Minos and Willie Cashi; her beloved sister Etta Cashi Sonnier; and her parents, Samuel and Elmina Suire Cashaw.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, February 19, 2009 from from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Visitation will continue Friday, February 20, from 8 a.m. until services.
