He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Rev. Brian Harrington officiating the services.
He is survived by his son, Jacob "Jake" Charles Hebert and his wife Janice of Abbeville; daughter, Martha June Mason and her husband Tony of New Iberia; four grandsons, Colby Hebert, Christian Hebert and his wife Shantel, Troy Mason, and Chad Mason and his wife Tina; great grandchildren, Caleb Hebert, Brooklynn Mason, Mattie Mason, Caitlynn Mason and Morgan Richard; sisters, Hazel Primeaux and her husband Rodney, and Venola Boudreaux; and sisters-in-law, Mabel Hebert and Myrtis Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Hebert; son, Joseph Vernon Hebert, II; parents, Ednor Hebert and the former Olite Dartez; and brothers, Joe Hebert, Beulas "Bee" Hebert, Ray Hebert and Alvin Hebert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
