Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Theodore Sellers, 87, who died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Residence.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers include Kirby Dubois, Clint Sonnier, Johnny Dubois, Jeffery Sellers, Michael Hebert and Willard Sellers.
Theodore was a veteran of the United States Navy who served our country during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4158 and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Brasseaux Sellers of Abbeville; one son, Willard Harlan Sellers and his wife, Carol of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Kristen Sellers and Jeffery Sellers, both of Austin, TX; one sister, Mitsie Hebert of Lafayette; a special person whom he considered a daughter, Janet Sonnier and her husband, Clint and their children, Marissa and Meagan Sonnier.
He was preceded in death by his father, Simonette Sellers and mother, Emedia Broussard Sellers; and brothers, Adlar, Leonard and Wilson Sellers, Sr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until service, with a rosary to be prayed at 10:30 a.m.
