Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Leola Marie Harrington Broussard, 84, who died Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Charles Broussard, Jr., Ronald Broussard, Jr., Donald Broussard, Jr., Lance Crochet, David Gilmore and John Nocciolo.
Leola was a native of Abbeville and a resident of Thibodaux. While living in Abbeville she was a member of the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church Altar Society and a volunteer with Abbeville General Hospital. Leola also loved and enjoyed camping in their motor home; she acquired many friends along the way. She served as Assistant Director for both the Good Sam Club - RV Club and Friends International. Also belonging to the Family Motor Coach Association.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Robert Broussard, Sr. and his wife Laverne of Houma, Willie James Broussard and his wife Mary of Kenner, and Donald G. Broussard, Sr. and his wife Renee of Lafayette; grandchildren, Carey B. Crochet and her husband Lance, Deanna B. Johnson, Holly Broussard, Charles R. Broussard, Jr. and his wife Amber, Ronald G. Broussard, Jr., Anita Broussard, Amanda B. Nocciolo and her husband John, Jessie Broussard and her husband David Gilmore, Cate Broussard, and Donald G. Broussard, Jr,.; nine great granchildren; brother, Lolan M. Harrington and his wife Veronica of Abbeville; brother-in-law, Joseph Vidalier of Abbeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Widley J. Broussard; son, Ronald G. Broussard; parents, Leonce Harrington and the former Marie Gaspard; and sister, Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) Vidalier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m.
