Mary Alice Broussard

June 11, 1939 — February 27, 2009

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Mary Alice Broussard, 69, who died Friday, February 27, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Donald "Bubba" Mier, Jr., Jeremy Mier, Tiffany Mier, Cody LeBlanc, Michael Simon and L.J. Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Gonzales, Logan Gonzales, Keri Simon, Kala Simon and Kelli Simon.

She is survived by a son Michael Simon and wife Linda of Erath; daughter, Nicole Gonzales and husband L.J. of Youngsville; grandchildren, Kala Simon, Keri Simon, Kelli Simon, Cody LeBlanc, Wesley Gonzales, and Logan Gonzales; great grandson, Talan Beasley; brothers, Robert Broussard of Abbeville, "Nookie" Broussard of Maurice, Francis "Buddy" Broussard, Jr. of Abbeville and Chris Broussard of Leroy; sisters, Mary Lou Schexnaider of Erath, Debra Meir of Erath and Anna Fleming of Alexandria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gallet; parents, Francis "Coon" and Mary Agnes Romero Broussard; and two sisters, Ada Marie Vincent and Linda Wallington.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services with a rosary to be prayed at 1:00 p.m.
