He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon L. Herpin of Kaplan; one son, Trent Herpin and his fiancée, Jessica Abshire of Kaplan; one daughter, Christine and her husband, Seth Broussard of Kaplan; his parents, Thomas Herpin and his wife, Sheila of Kaplan and Freida and her husband, John Krmenec of Valdosta, GA; two sisters, Dora and her husband, Bob Carr of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Jeanne Lynn Herpin and her fiancé, Kent LeMaire of Kaplan; two brothers, John Lyle Herpin and his wife, Krystal of Valdosta, GA and Danny Herpin of Kaplan; three grandchildren, Dax Broussard, Colton Broussard, and Corey Herpin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walton and Evelyn Herpin; his maternal grandparents, Hilda and Otto Matthews; and his in-laws, Jeanelle and Paul "Buck" Landry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Friday, October 16, 2015 from 9 a.m. until services.
