Joe was a well known retired Master Carpenter and worked for Meaux Lumber Store for 40 years. He built many homes in the Kaplan area and took great pride in his work. After retirement, he worked several years for Lege’s Grocery. After working for Lege’s Grocery he turned his attention to his life long love of building, repairing, and refinishing furniture. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are his son, Larry Dale Clostio of Baton Rouge; his daughter, Rose Dean and her husband, Percy J. Adams of Sulphur; four grandchildren, Tommy Clostio and his wife, Amy of Lafayette, Brett Adams and his wife, Heather of Denham Springs, Jason Adams and his companion, Ashley Grantham of Sulphur, and Trent Adams and his fiancée, Shelby Corbett of Merryville; four great grandchildren, Laken, Hunter, Damon, and Gavin Adams of Denham Springs; and his very dear friend, Clorae Vincent of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ivy Hebert Clostio; one son, Thomas Clostio, Sr.; one brother, Sylvest Clostio; one adopted brother, Urice Doucet; and two sisters, Laura Fabre and Lawrence LeBlanc.

The family would like to thank his many neighbors and friends that checked on his well being, the staff at Amedisys Hospice, and Holly Hill House Nursing Home.
