Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Joseph “Shorty” Broussard, 74, who died Monday, October 26, 2015 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred A. Broussard of Kaplan; one son, George Broussard and his wife, Melissa of Paulina; one daughter, Bertha and her husband, Brian Guyre of Sulphur; five grandchildren, Crystal Millet, Travis Broussard, Julian Broussard, Arial Broussard, and Keith Guyre; and one brother, Ray Allen Broussard of Forked Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Broussard and the former Elizabeth Cormier; and one brother, Wilton Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 9 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.
