Anite Frederick Duhon

September 11, 1913 — March 3, 2009

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2009 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Anite Frederick Duhon, 95, who died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Eastridge Nursing Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Simien officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Russell Duhon of Maurice and Larry Duhon of Kaplan; three daughters, Maggie Trahan of Maurice, Verna Frederick of Abbeville and Juanita Simon of Meaux; twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Duhon; parents, Alcide and Odelia Falgout Frederick; son, C.D. Duhon; seven sisters and five brothers;four grandchildren, Jeanette Duhon, Ramona Duhon Brooks, Mark Duhon and Dwight Simon; and one son-in-law, Leonard Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
