Kaplan—Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Curtis Joseph Trahan, 70, who died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at his residence. He was laid to rest at Pecan Island Community Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.
Mr. Trahan retired from Exxon/Moblie. He loved to hunt, fish and was an excellent cook. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Enes B. Trahan of Pecan Island; one son, Todd M. Trahan and his wife Liz of Windsor Mill, Maryland; two stepdaughters, Cindy Nunez of Lafayette and Melanie Nunez and her husband Derwin Wyble of Opelousas; and one grandson, Tyler Matthew Trahan of Windsor Mill, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Trahan and the former Laura Mae Pellerin; and one sister, Jane Broussard.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 10 a.m. until services. A rosary was prayed Monday at 11 a.m.
