Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Paul Evis Dubois, 79, who died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Vermilion Health Care Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Matte, Aaron Dubois, Anthony Dubois, Shalon Bourque, Jarad Cormier, and Timothy Hardin. Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Gaspard.He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Velma E. Dubois of Youngsville; one son, Anthony J. Dubois and his wife Laura of Youngsville; one daughter, June M. and her husband Timothy Hardin of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers, Ernest Dubois of Houma and Edwin Dubois of New Iberia; two sisters, Louise Smith of New Iberia and Mae Rose Matte of Kaplan; two grandchildren, Aaron Dubois of Youngsville and Jarad Cormier of Huntsville, Alabama; and two great grandchildren, Alexis Cormier and Jarad Cormier Jr., both of Huntsville, Alabama.He was preceded in death by his parents, Marsule Dubois and the former Enita Vidiallet; brothers, Minos, Dominick and Armond Dubois; one sister, Adea Suire; and one granddaughter, Megan Dubois.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, March 10, from 8 a.m. until services.
