View Video TributeFuneral services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Christopher Michael Hollier, 59, who died Friday, March 20, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services.

Christopher was an avid baseball fan, fisherman and strong competitor in the Special Olympics. He was a devout spiritual person with love in his heart for everyone he knew and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his brother, John Edmund Hollier and wife Evelyn of Abbeville, three sisters, Roberta Anne Hollier,PhD, of San Francisco, CA; Jeanne H. deValcourt of Abbeville and Patricia Ruth and J.D. Cascio of Monroe, LA;and numerous nieces and nephews, Michael Mark deValcourt, John Kevin deValcourt, Stephanie Marie Marinari, John E. Hollier, Jr., Charles Brian Hollier, Marcia Christine Hollier, Maria Angelle H. Zerangue, Patrice H. Thibodeaux, Dr. Paul Jude Hollier, Keith Cascio, Kenneth Cascio, Karen C. Franklin and Katherin E. Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marie Louise Hebert Hollier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, March 23, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
