Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Karl David Vice, 41, who died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Corey Vice, Kyle Singer, Dustin Broussard, Dusty Singer, Shane Touchet and George Choate. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Touchet, Heith Gaspard and Walton Touchet.

Bubba loved his two sisters, Sharon and Shelia, he also had a deep love for his father, Richard and all of his neices and nephews. He was a wonderful uncle, the greatest son and the most special brother any sister could ever have. He will be sadly missed by everyone who was blessed by merely knowing him. Bubba’s favorite past time was watching television; especialy when his beloved New Orleans Saints were playing. He remained a loyal fan through all of the hard times.

He is survived by his father, Richard Carl Vice of Abbeville; two sisters, Shelia Vice of Erath and Sharon Gaspard and her husband Heith of Abbeville; two aunts, Annie Rose Frederick and her husband John of Houston, TX and Mary Helen Palombo of Lafayette; nieces, Katey Singer of Abbeville, Holley Singer of Abbeville, Codi Gaspard of Abbeville, Shena Couvillier and fiancee Adam LeBlanc of Erath; nephews, Corey Vice and his wife Shantell of Abbeville, Dusty Singer and his wife Abbey of Kaplan, Kyle Singer and fiancee Lacy Fontenot of Abbeville and Dustin Broussard of Abbeville; five great nephews, Hunter Vice of Abbeville, Jordan Vice of Abbeville, Sage Vice of Abbeville, Cameron Singer of Kaplan and Aiden Singer of Kaplan; and great neice, Zoie Burns of Erath.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Marie Theriot Vice; maternal grandparents, Euna and Murphy Theriot; paternal grandparents, Eddie and Edith Vice; one brother, Randal Vice; and three uncles, Eddie J. Vice, Jr., Donald Theriot and Clarence "Red" Theriot.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
