December 10, 1942 — March 24, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Brenda Primeaux Richard, 66, who died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Readers for the mass will be Myra and Dora Broussard. Serving as pallbearers will be Shea Vidrine, Jake Vidrine, John Vidrine, Ned Doucet, Coby Richard, and Nicholas Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph and Bella Doucet.

Brenda and her husband Rodney owned and operated Coast to Coast Home & Auto in Kaplan for over 35 years.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Rodney Richard of Kaplan; two daughters, Charmaine Vidrine and her husband John of Crowley and Tammy Doucet and her husband Ned of Kaplan; and four grandchildren, Shea and Jake Vidrine of Crowley and Joseph and Bella Doucet of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Advey Primeaux and the former Mabel Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, March 27, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
