Velta Marie Friou

February 28, 1947 — March 30, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Velta Marie Friou, 62, who died Monday, March 30, 2009 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Dalton, Scotty, Paul and John Friou, Harris David and A.J. Gallet.

She is survived by her brother, Dalton Friou of Kaplan; two sisters, Velma Friou and Jeanette Hernandez both of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aldest Friou and the former Isabelle Gaspard; and one brother, Randall Friou.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 10 am until 10 pm with a rosary being prayed at 7 pm; Thursday, April 2, from 8 am until services.
