Gueydan—Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 at Gueydan Cemetery honoring the life of Mary "Jean" Beard, 91, who died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Abbeville General Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Tom Summers officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Terry Wayne Beard of Gueydan; one sister, Ruby Hebert of Gueydan; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Allen Leger; and one grandson, Kenneth Beard.
