Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lillian Broussard Hebert, 103, who died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Rev. Mark Miley officiating the services.
Lillian was a member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church for 68 years. She served as a Catholic Daughter, Ladies Altar Society, and was also a Lady Carmelite. She and her husband were the owners of Hebert’s Grocery Store in Kaplan for 30 years.
She is survived by her son, Charles Hebert of Lafayette; one brother, Paul Creswell of Covington; and one sister, Edna Thacker of Kissimmee, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fergus Broussard and Edna Creswell; her husband of 76 years, Edlar Hebert; two infant sons, Harris and Williard Hebert; two brothers, Galbert and Noah Broussard; three sisters, Jeanne Duhon, Lucille Vincent, and Lilly Comeaux; and her step-father, Henry Creswell.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 8 a.m. until services.
