Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at a 11:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Sidney Joseph LeBouef, 95, who died Monday, April 6, 2009 at Heritage Manor of Abbeville.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Rev. Keith Landry officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Mike Harrington, Tommy Richard, Ken Meyers, Coby Harrington and Trent Frith.
Mr. LeBouef worked as a deputy sheriff under Sheriff Euda Delcambre for 20 years.
He is survived by his son, Roy LeBouef and wife Florence Chauvin LeBouef of Abbeville; granddaughters, Neysa Harrington and husband Michael of Abbeville, Tracy Richard and husband Tommy of Abbeville and Amy Meyers and husband Ken of Youngsville; great grandchildren, Coby and Jill Harrington, Katie Frith, Laura Richard, Caroline, Kate and Cameron Meyers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Hebert LeBouef; father, Frank LeBouef; mother, Alice Hebert LeBouef; three brothers; and four sisters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
