Rita Louise Suire

July 20, 1931 — April 9, 2009

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Rita Louise Suire, 77, who died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. William Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers include Ronald Suire, Matthew Suire, Seth Sonnier, David Suire, Steve Sonnier and Michael Dorman. Honorary Pallbearers include Allen Ray Stoutes, Jr., Greg Suire, John Dayries and Josh LeMaire.

She is survived by her husband, Francis Suire of Abbeville; three sons, Ronald, Peter and Matthew Suire all of Abbeville; a daughter, Iris S. Sonnier and husband Steve of Abbeville; grandchildren, Christina Dayries, Mitzi Dorman, David Francis Suire and wife Amanda, Dana Suire, Troy Suire, Tania LeMaire, Seth Sonnier, Brandy Suire, Jacquelyn Suire, Keisha Suire and Mattalyn Suire; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Eunice Verrett of Lake Charles and Irene Limoges of Gena.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elphage and Irene Hebert Verret; two brothers, Whitney and Herbert Verret; and two sisters, Lillian Zeller and Nita Clark.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.. They will reopen on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. until time of the service.
