Verna Marie Frederick

February 4, 1925 — April 11, 2009

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Verna Marie Frederick, 84, who died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Frederick and husband Ray Melebeck of Abbeville; a brother, Doris Frederick of Florida; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Frederick; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leotard and Rosita Meaux Frederick a son, Donald Frederick; and a brother, Dudley Frederick.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.. They will reopen on Tuesday April 14, 2009 from at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
