Edythe Thomas

February 13, 1923 — April 11, 2009

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall honoring the life of Edythe Thomas, 86, who died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Brother Elfedge Hollier officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband, Roy P. Thomas of Maurice; two sons, Roy Thomas and wife Pat of Abbeville and Casey Thomas and wife Collette of Maurice; four daughters, Sherry Lynn Romero of Abbeville, Lynda Young of Carencro, Joy Paula Welsh and husband Tommy of Lafayette and Darlene Centeio of Baker, LA; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Henry of CoCo Beach, FL and Tilly Henry of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Frances Planitz Goebel; and a granddaughter, Bernadette Romero Brown.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. untill 9:00 p.m.. The Thomas family will receive family and friends on Monday April 13, 2009 at 12:45 p.m. until service time at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall.
