Charles Monroe Lafitte

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Charles Monroe Lafitte, 84, who died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Lane Payne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Ted Landry, Allen Schriefer, Dale Landry, Seth Landry, Troy Fontenot and Kevin Dartez.

He is survived by one son, Nathan Lafitte and his wife Cathi of Bullard, TX; one daughter, Marche Reeves and her husband Dale of Arkansas; one brother, Ben Lefeat of Murphy, NC; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kenney Lafitte; parents, Ben Lafitte and the former Florence Rials; three sisters; and four brothers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
