Mary Landry Bufford

September 23, 1933 — April 15, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Mary Landry Bufford, 75, who died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by five sons, Dale Bufford of Kirbyville, TX, Keith Bufford and wife Angie of Kaplan, Michael Bufford and wife Nicole of Schertz, TX, Russell Bufford and wife Cheryl of Kaplan and Todd Bufford and wife Ellen of Kaplan; one daughter, Darnell Bufford Cashat and husband Minos of Lafayette; three sisters, Gene L. Mathews of Gueydan, Gladys L. Sonnier and husband Wilfred of Kaplan and Helen L. Benoit and husband Will of Crowley; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Minos J. Bufford; parents, Alvin Landry Sr. and the former Lelia Meaux; both brothers, Alvin Landry Jr. and Vernis Landry; and one sister, Laura Landry Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, April 17, from 8 a.m. until services.
