Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Charles Edward Hernandez, 71, who died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna Hernandez of Gueydan; one son, Shane Faulk of Kaplan; two sisters, Dot Walker of Gonzales and Gwen Robicheaux of New Orleans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose Hernandez and the former Bertha May Huffman; four brothers, Willie Hamilton, A.J., Lowell, and Huey Hernandez; and one sister, Laverne Rodriguez.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 11 a.m. until services.
