Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Herman Bertrand, Jr., 65, who died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his father, Herman Bertrand, Sr. of Lake Charles; one daughter, Arizona and her husband, Brad Pearson of Kinder; two sisters, Ramona B. Breedlove of Maurice and Jackie and her husband, Cliff Vaughn of Shreveport; two brothers, Brian Bertrand and his wife, Gigi of Kaplan and Skipper Bertrand and his wife, Cindy of Dallas; and three grandchildren, Savannah Dubois, Sebastian Dubois, and Alex Pearson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, the former Beverly Guillory.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 9 a.m. until services.
