Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lavonne Bonin Landry, 85, who died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Randall Moreau officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Clarence Landry of Kaplan; one daughter, Nita L. and her husband Joseph Pere' Sr. of Kaplan; and one grandson, Jo-Jo Pere' of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph Bonin and the former Nita Simoneaux; one brother, Alfred Bonin; and one sister, Nona Primeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 18, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
