John Fred Vincent

November 6, 1918 — April 17, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of John Fred Vincent, 90, who died Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Rayne Guest Home. He will be laid to rest at the Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon Paul Roy Eleazar officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rena Hargrave Vincent of Kaplan; two daughters, Ella Mae Leblanc and her husband Russell J. of Scott and Deanna Vincent of Rayne; two brothers, Joseph Vincent and Severan Vincent, both of Kaplan; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Vincent and the former Clomire Bourque; three sisters, Clara Daly, Olive Schexnaider and Elasyie Hargrave; and two brothers, Sidney and Clovis Vincent.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 18, from 8 a.m. until services.
