Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church honoring the life of Cecile Brasseaux Landry, 96, who died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Charles Langlois officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Presley Landry and his wife Barbara of New Iberia; two grandchildren, Dodie A. Landry and her husband Todd Thomas of Abbeville, and Kevin M. Landry and his wife Sandra of Church Point; great grandchildren, Sgt. Ryan J. Thomas and his wife Christin of Indy (Marine), Spc. Jacob M. Thomas of Fort Rucker, Alabama (Army), Joshua Sr., Jenny, and Kristi Landry all of New Iberia; and great-great grandchildren, Landen Thomas, Cullen Landry, Taigan Landry, Joshua Landry, Jr., Jordyn Landry, Kaison Landry, Jaxxon Landry, Jaydyn Landry, and Caiden Landry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambroise Landry; parents, Elodice Brasseaux and the former Azemia Vincent; and brothers, Clemile, Piggy, Simon, and Albert Brasseaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
