Raymond Bellaus Adams, Sr.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Adams, Jr., Marcus Broussard, Steven Broussard, Bobby Broussard, Tyler Demette, Cade Marceaux, Kendal Primeaux and Curtis Abshire, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Hebert Zenon, IV and Mason Zenon.

Raymond served four years in the United States Navy.

He is survived by seven daughters; Willie Mae Adams Meaux and her husband Tony of Kaplan, Patricia Ann Broussard and her husband Darrel of Kaplan, Sedra Adams Marceaux and her husband Keith of Meaux, Mona Raye Adams of Kaplan, Rachelle Adams of Kaplan, Stephanie Sonnier and her husband Albert of Meaux and Miranda Lea Adams Zenon and her husband Hebert of Carencro; one son Raymond "Buddy" Adams, Jr; three sisters, Nita Adams Hebert, Betty Jane Adams Meyers and Isabelle Adams Doucet; nineteen grandchildren, Marcus Broussard, Steven Broussard, Bobby Broussard, Bonnie McMillian, Brooke Demette, Tyler Demette, Cade Marceaux, Keisha Marceaux, Tricia Adams, Kendal Primeaux, Sara Primeaux, Curtis Abshire, Jr., Danna Sonnier, Olivia Sonnier, Hebert Zenon, IV, Mason Zenon and Braylon Zenon; nine great grandchildren, Jaselynn Broussard, Chance Broussard, Gage Broussard, Riley Broussard, Brady McMillian, Lane Demette, Graci Primeaux, Hunter Primeaux, Landon LeMaire and Hayden Picard; four step children, Melissa Mouton, James Mouton, Mitchell Mouton and Jeremy Passow; and four step grandchildren, Christian Mouton, Layla Passow, Ovay Luquette and Christian Gallet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leodias Adams and the former Editha Baudoin; one granddaughter, Tammy Lynn Broussard; four brothers, Cleston Adams, Weston Adams, Evres Adams and Clifford Adams; two sisters, Hilda Adams Dubois and Cordy Lerette; and stepfather, Dunis Faulk.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and will remain open until the sevices time on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.
