Bret J. Theriot
July 20, 1959 — February 14, 2016
As a resident of Gueydan Bret was a member of the Gueydan Recreation Association, Charter member, President of Gueydan Jaycee’s, and a CCD coordinator for St. Peter’s Catholic Church. He worked for Pennzoil for 20 years and was currently employed by Flow Petroleum. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, and G-Pop. Faith was very important to him and his biggest joy was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Jada D. Theriot of Lafayette; two sons, Tyler Theriot and Trevor Theriot, both of Abbeville; one step-son, Christopher Sharp of Lafayette; two daughters, Hilary and her husband, Jeff Ragan of Lafayette and Hannah Theriot of Lafayette; his mother, Kathleen Theriot of Gueydan; one sister, Annette Theriot of Lafayette; five brothers, Wilton Theriot, Jr. of Gueydan, Eddie Theriot of New Orleans, Bob Theriot of Gueydan, Chris Theriot of Gueydan, and Bart Theriot of New Orleans; and one grandchild, Adelynn Theriot of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilton Theriot, Sr.; and one brother, Russell Theriot.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
