Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mario Alberto Celestino, 40, who died Monday, February 15, 2016. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

Mario was a co-owner of Safety Compliance Services of Lafayette. He enjoyed bow hunting and had a passion for hunting deer. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. Mario was a friend to all and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his parents, Jose Celestino of Lafayette and Maria Celestino of Kaplan; two brothers, Joe Celestino of Youngsville and Fernando Celestino of Abbeville; one nephew, Mateo Celestino of Abbeville; three nieces, Aeris Celestino of Youngsville, Kable Celestino of Youngsville, and Mila Celestino of Abbeville; and many great friends.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 2 p.m. until funeral service on Friday, February 19, 2016 with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.
