Richard Dale Arabie

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Randy Dugas officiating the services.
Pallbearers will be Mark Barr, Jay M. Romero, Jace Hebert, Jeff Abshire, Keith Arabie, Beau Dore, Cade Touchet, and Brad Duhon. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Touchet, Kyle Touchet and Keith L. Arabie, Jr.
Dale was always a loving person that will be dearly missed by many. He served as an inspiration for others by maintaining his courage and faith throughout his life. He will be remembered for the phrases that he used the most in life "It's not my fault" and "It will not be the same". He was an avid fisher and loved to camp.
He is survived by his son, Keith L. Arabie and his wife Rhonda of Chalmette, LA; five daugthers, Bridget R. Barr and her husband Mark of Baton Rouge, LA, Gina M. Romero and her husband Jay of Maurice, LA, Denise R. Hebert and her husband Jace of Abbeville, LA, Natalie Q. Abshire and her husband Jeff of Abbeville, LA and Dodie L. Romero and her husband Harvey of Erath, LA; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and a special friend Loratta Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Peggy L. Arabie; parents, Clifford Arabie and the former Lelia Menard; paternal grandparents, Angelas and Edoline "Roy" Arabie; and maternal grandparents, John "Red" and Elina Menard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.; Monday February 22, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to the family, friends, neighbors, fellow church members and most of all Jennifer, Chad and Candance at Heart of Hopice for their care in Richard’s last months.
