Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of David “Jap” Hebert, 56, who died Friday, February 19, 2016 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Picard officiating the services.

"Jap" was a native and resident of Meaux. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend whom will be missed by many.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Robin and her husband John of Lafayette; sister, Denise (Darrell) Clark of Maurice; brother, James Dale Hebert of Meaux; nephews, Ryan (Amanda) Clark of Youngsville and Jared Hebert of Beaumont, TX; and nieces Alyssa (Chase) Lapeyrouse of Abbeville and Kelsey Hebert of Beaumont, TX.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Marie Hebert; father, Donald James Hebert; and step father, Lousay.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday February 22, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
