Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Rita Boudreaux Mouton, 85, who died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Rev. Lamarylis Cotten officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Graling Mouton, II, Byron Thackston, Casey Finley, Mace Mouton, Bryant Hargrave, Joel Rogers, and Jacob Gillentine. Honorary pallbearer will be Gene Gillentine.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Warren Albert Mouton, Sr. of Gueydan; two sons, Graling Mouton and his wife, Rose of Jennings and Warren "Poncho" Mouton, Jr. and his wife, Shelia of Gueydan; four daughters, Ann and her husband, Bob Finley of Welsh, Emily Jane and her husband, Donald Touchet of Gueydan, Ginger and her husband, Sterling Simon of Morse, and Pam and her husband, Pat Hartwell of Gueydan; 21 grandchildren; and 40 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Thackston Hausser; and her parents, Lawrence Boudreaux and the former Emilie Aucoin.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m.; Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
