Dorothy Broussard

June 24, 1924 — April 30, 2009

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Dorothy Broussard, 84, who died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital.

Reverend William C. Blanda will officiate the services.

She is survived by two sons, Steven M. Broussard of Duson and David T. Broussard and wife Sandra Schaeffer of Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Broussard; parents, Zachary Broussard and the former Paula Simon; daughter, Celia Broussard; and sister, Earline Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, April 30, 2009 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, May 1, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
